Note: Lofty is rolling out in stages. Depending on the version your account is on, some features or screens described in this article may look different or may not yet be available to you.
Introduction
The Dialer is Lofty's calling workspace: build call lists from your segments and saved filters, work through scheduled call tasks, review your call history, and place one-off calls from a dial pad. It opens on top of whatever page you are on, so your place in the CRM is kept.
Opening the Dialer
- In the left menu, click Dialer.
The Dialer opens as a full-page workspace. The header shows the Dialer title with an Available status pill, and Dial Pad and Ask Lofty AI buttons in the top-right corner. 2 tabs organize the page: Call List and History.
Checking Your Calling Status and Numbers
- Click the Available pill next to the page title.
A popover shows your account name with a toggle, your Bridge: phone number, your Caller ID: number, and a “Manage Dialer Settings here” line — here opens the Dialer settings page in My User Settings.
Note: Leave the toggle as is unless you mean to change whether calls reach you.
Reading the Call List Tab
The Call List tab groups your calling work, with today's date on the right:
- Smart Call Lists — Today's Scheduled Tasks and Overdue Scheduled Tasks, each with a live count.
- Standard Call Lists — your own lists, auto-named with their creation time (for example, “06/28/2023 16:26-Call List”). Each row shows a status dot, a last-activity line (“Last touch on July 3, 2026” or “No Touch”), your progress through the list (for example, “8/37”), a blue phone icon, and an archive icon. Click View More to load older lists.
Warning: The blue phone icon on a call-list row is the entry point for a live calling session with the leads on that list — everything else on this page is safe to browse.
Reviewing Call History
- Click the History tab.
Each entry shows a direction icon, the caller's name (or “Unknown”), the phone number, and the date and time; entries with recordings or voice messages carry a playback icon. Narrow the log with the 2 dropdowns above the list:
- Type — check any of Accepted Calls, Missed Calls, Answered Calls, Unanswered Calls, and Voice Messages.
- Date — limit the log to a date range.
Creating a Call List
- Click + Add a New Call List above the lists.
- The Add a New Call List panel opens on the right with a List Name prefilled from the current date and time.
- Under Import Lead, Step1 chooses who to call: pick a radio button under Segments (each shows its lead count) or under Saved Filters — for example Priorities, High Priority, AI Prospecting, AI Monitoring, or Not Contacted. Step2 follows below.
- The panel footer holds Cancel and Save & Next (0 Selected) — the count updates as you select leads. To leave without creating a list, click Cancel or the ×.
Placing a Single Call from the Dial Pad
- Click Dial Pad in the top-right corner.
The Dial Pad panel opens on the right. Caller ID: shows the outbound number the call will come from, tagged Personal, with a dropdown to switch numbers. Below it sit a standard keypad (1–9, *, 0 +, #), a backspace key, and the green call button.
Warning: The green call button places a real phone call to whatever number is entered. Close the panel with the × if you opened it to look around.
Browsing Archived Lists
- On the Call List tab, click Archived List.
Archived call lists replace the main view: each row shows the list name, its end state (“Terminated on July 3, 2026” or “Finished on June 24, 2026”), the final progress count, and a trash icon. Filter the view with the Type and Date dropdowns, and click Back to Call Lists to return.
Caution: The trash icon on an archived list removes it — review the row before using it.
