Introduction
The option to block inbound calls from specific phone numbers directly within Lofty gives you a self-managed way to stop unwanted or spam calls without leaving the platform. Blocking is personal and only affects the user who initiates it. Other users on the same account can continue to receive calls from a number than another user on their account blocked.
This feature includes four entry points for blocking a number, a visual indicator on lead profiles, and a new Block Call List in Settings for viewing and managing blocked numbers.
Blocking a Number
During an active inbound call: A "Decline & Block" button on the inbound call tab rejects the call immediately and triggers a confirmation popup. Once confirmed, the call is blocked going forward.
From the call result panel: After a call ends, a Block Call button appears in the result panel. Clicking it opens the same confirmation popup.
From call history: A Block Call button appears when hovering over a specific entry in the call history list.
From the inbox chat window: A Block Call button is available within the inbox chat window for the relevant contact.
All four entry points use the same confirmation popup for consistency. Click Block here to confirm that you want to block this number.
Lead Profile Blocked Indicator
When you block a number associated with an existing lead, that number is displayed in gray on the lead's profile. A hover tooltip confirms the number has been blocked. Other agents that have access to this lead do not see the number as blocked.
Blocked Call List Settings
The Block Call List tab in the Settings page allows you to:
- View all blocked numbers
- Manage and unblock numbers
- Add a number proactively (before receiving a call) via an "Add Number" button and popup
