Introduction
It can be frustrating to call leads when they go straight to voicemail. Recording a new message every time is not only tedious but also time-consuming. Lofty can help you save time by allowing you to pre-record voice messages for more effective use of your time.
To access these options, navigate to Settings > Templates > Call > Voice Message.
Record an Outbound Call Voice Message
*This feature is included in all Lofty call packages.
To add a new Outbound Call Voice Message, click on the "Add" button:
You can record five messages within the Outbound Call Voice Message category.
To record the message, you will need to enter your phone number. You will then receive a call with step-by-step instructions to record the message.
Give the voice message a name and then click on the blue "Save" button. The name can always be adjusted later.
Use the Outbound Call Voice Messages
For outbound calls, you can leave a recorded voicemail instead of recording a new one every time. After dropping your voice message, the call will disconnect automatically.
Make sure to only drop your voice message after the answering system triggers the "beep."
After selecting the Voice Message option, the names of the recordings you have made will appear for you to choose from.
Record an Inbound Call Voice Message
*This feature is included in all Lofty call packages.
A default always needs to be selected with the star. You can record up to five voice messages to be available for inbound calls.
To record a new message, click on the "Add" button:
To record the message, you will need to enter your phone number and then you will receive a call with step-by-step instructions to record the message.
Give the voice message a name and then click on the blue "Save" button. The name can always be adjusted later.
Use the Inbound Call Voice Messages
*This feature is included in all Lofty call packages.
When you are unavailable to answer inbound calls, your leads will be directed to your pre-recorded voice message.
Inbound callers will only be directed to Lofty's inbound call voice message if you are not available (if you are not within working/available hours of what you configured on their Lofty account.) If you are available for calls in Lofty, the inbound call will still be bridged to your bridge number reason why your caller will hear the voicemail of your mobile phone (bridge number).
See this article for more information about setting your availability: Availability (Working Hours) for Phone Calls.
