Since an Android software update in 2024, activity restrictions on background applications have become stricter, preventing users from receiving Lofty app notifications unless they have chosen specific settings.
This is a guide on how to configure your settings on your Android phone to ensure you can continue to receive reliable notifications from Lofty.
Overview
Samsung series
1. Open Lofty notification settings and toggle on “Show notifications”
2. Go to Settings > Applications > find Lofty
- Enter the Lofty info page > find Battery
- Enter Battery
- Change to Unrestricted
3. Go to Settings>General management>Battery
- Turn off "Power saving"
4. In Battery, go to “Background usage limits”
- Go to “Deep sleeping apps”
- In “Deep sleeping apps”, if Lofty is in the list of Deep sleeping apps, tap the three dots on the top right, then select Lofty to remove it from the list.
5. Navigate back to “Background usage limits” and enter “Auto run apps”
- Find Lofty and toggle on
Google series
1. Open Lofty notification settings and toggle on “All Lofty notifications”
2. In Settings > Apps > find Lofty
- Enter the Lofty application details page > find "App battery usage"
- Change the battery usage to “Unrestricted”
3. In Settings, go to “Battery”
- In Battery, enter “Battery Saver”
- Toggle off “Use Battery Saver”
Huawei series
1. In Settings, find Lofty in your Notifications. Turn on the “Allow notifications” switch
2. In Settings, go to Battery, toggle off “Power Saving Mode”
3. In Settings > Apps & services > App launch > find Lofty
- Turn OFF automatic management for Lofty
- In the resulting pop-up, turn on “Auto Launch” and “Run in background”, then tap “Ok”
