Introduction
Lofty manages four types of MLS application processes: Agreement, Instruction, Online, and Vendor. These processes are designed to streamline your MLS applications and provide you with updates on their progress, as each MLS processes their application differently. Depending on the MLS you are applying to, you will go through one of the four processes.
Online
This article covers the Online process, which begins when you submit an MLS application through the CMS. The process involves creating an online application and submitting the necessary details to move your application forward.
Once you submit an MLS application in CMS, you will go through the following four stages:
1. Lofty Reviews the Application
Once you submit your online application, Lofty will review the information to ensure all required details are complete and then submit an online application on third-party vendor platform on your behalf.
Estimated Time: This process typically takes up to two (2) business days.
What Happens: Lofty will verify your application for completeness and accuracy. Then, we will submit your online application on the third-party vendor platform on your behalf.
What You Can Do: If your application is pending for more than two (2) business days, click the "Request Update" button in CMS. Our MLS Support team will prioritize your request and deal with your application as soon as possible.
2. Waiting on the Client
At this stage, you will receive an online invitation in your email, prompting you and your broker to sign the agreement. Or, you may be required to provide additional information or take further action to complete your application. The status is marked as "Pending on Client's Info."
Estimated Time: This process can vary depending on how quickly you can provide the required information, but typically two (2) business days.
What Happens: You will be contacted by Lofty if more details are needed. Please keep an eye on your email and phone for any updates.
What You Can Do: If you need assistance or have questions, click the "Contact Lofty" button in CMS to reach our support team. Your email will automatically be sent to mls_support@lofty.com.
3. MLS Reviews the Application
Once Lofty submits your completed application, the MLS will review it to ensure compliance with their standards. This may include checks on your website.
Estimated Time: The review process typically takes two (2) business days, but can vary depending on the MLS board.
What Happens: The MLS will review your application, including any necessary compliance checks. If approved, your application status will update to "MLS Approved." If any issues arise, Lofty will notify you with next steps.
What You Can Do: If the application is pending for over two (2) business days at this stage, click "Request Update" in CMS to notify our MLS Support team. We will follow up with the MLS to check the status.
4. Data Integration
Once the MLS approves your application, we will begin integrating the listing data into your CMS.
Estimated Time: This process typically completes within one (1) business day after MLS approval and may take up to 10 business days for new MLSs.
