Introduction
A Smart Plan is an automated follow-up sequence — a mix of emails, texts, calls, and tasks that fire on a schedule after a lead meets a condition. The fastest way to start is the Library, a catalog of ready-made plans built for common scenarios (new-lead welcome, seller engagement, no-response re-engagement) that you can use as-is or as a starting point.
Opening the Library
- In the left menu, go to Automation → Smart Plans.
- Click the Library tab.
Finding the Right Plan
Narrow the catalog with the filters and search at the top:
- Plan Type — the kind of plan.
- Lead Type — for example, Buyer or Seller.
- Scenario — the situation the plan is built for.
- Search by template name — jump straight to a plan by name.
Reading a Template Card
Each card summarizes the plan before you commit:
- Name — for example, *Buyer-No Response (AI)* or *Realty.com Seller Engagement Campaign*. Plans marked (AI) adapt their messaging with Lofty AI.
- Trigger condition — the rule that enrolls a lead, such as *Equals To: Seller* or *Include one of: Buyer*.
- Action icons — the channels the plan uses (call, email, text, and automated messages).
- Duration — how long the sequence runs, such as *75 days duration*.
Click the preview (eye) icon on a card to see the plan's full step-by-step sequence.
Using a Template
When a plan fits, click Use Template. The plan is added to your My Plans tab, where you can rename it, adjust its steps and timing, and then apply it to leads.
Note: Starting from a Library template and editing it is usually faster than building from scratch — you keep a proven structure and only change what you need. To build your own from a blank canvas instead, use Create Smart Plan.
