Note: Lofty is rolling out in stages. Depending on the version your account is on, some features or screens described in this article may look different or may not yet be available to you.
Introduction
The Transactions page is the money view of your pipeline: every purchase, listing, and lease deal in one table, topped by rolling totals for volume, GCI, and commission. From here you filter deals by status and owner, open any transaction’s detail page, add deals manually, and claim transactions synced from your MLS.
Opening Transactions
- In the left menu, go to Sales → Transactions.
The page opens with the Transactions heading, an Actions menu, and an Ask Lofty AI button in the top-right corner.
Reading the Summary Bar
- Type tabs scope everything on the page: All, Purchase, Listing, Lease, and Other.
- 5 metric cards summarize the current scope: Total Count, Total Volume, Total GCI, Team Net Commission, and Total Agent Payment. Large figures are abbreviated (for example, “$3.6B”) — hover one for the exact amount.
Filtering the Table
- More Filters opens the MORE FILTERS dialog with Basic Info, Dates, Contacts, Accounting, and Custom Field tabs. Basic Info holds Lead Source and an Include Unowned Transactions checkbox (on by default — the “(1)” in the button counts it); Dates covers Expected Close/Closed Date, Create Date, Appointment Date, Agreement Signed Date, Offer Date, Home Inspection Date, Escrow Date, and Expiration Date. Reset clears the dialog.
- Status narrows to All, Active, Closed, or Canceled.
- Office: All and Transaction Owner scope by office and owner.
- The search box accepts Search by Transaction, Address, Lead, Note.
Reading the Table
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The transaction (usually the property address) — click it to open the transaction’s detail page |
| Type | Purchase, Listing, Lease, or Other |
| Closed Date | The closed date, or N/A while open |
| Lead | The associated lead |
| Stage | The pipeline stage (for example, Pre Contract, Under Contract, Active Listing, Signed) |
| Owner | The transaction owner |
| Tasks | Completion of the tasks you created for the transaction (for example, “20/35”) |
| Close Price | The deal amount |
The pager at the bottom moves between pages and sets the page size (10 by default).
Adding a Transaction Manually
- Click Actions in the top-right corner and choose Manually Add.
- The ADD TRANSACTION dialog opens with the required basics: Transaction Name (“Enter the transaction name or search by property address”), Associated Lead (search, or click Add Lead to create one), Transaction Owner, and Transaction Type, plus an optional Transaction Stage.
- To fill in the full record now, click Details View — the dialog expands into sections for Basic Info (including Sales Price, GCI, Add/Deduct Before Splits, Splits, and a Payment Summary), Dates, Property (address, Listing Status, MLS Listing ID, List Price, beds, baths, and more), and Contacts (roles such as Buyer, Seller, Buyer's Agent, Listing Agent, Escrow / Title, Lender, and Home Inspection), with a Send Introduction Email on Assignment checkbox at the end.
- Click Save to create the transaction, or Cancel to close without saving.
Note: Your account’s custom fields, stages, and contact roles also appear in Details View, so the exact field list varies by account.
Claiming Transactions From the MLS
- Click Actions and choose Add From MLS.
- The Unclaimed MLS Transactions drawer opens on the right, listing MLS deals matched to you — each with property details and a Claim button (a trash icon removes an entry).
Note: Transactions are pulled in using the License ID and MLS Agent ID fields in Settings > User > Profile; only properties listed within the last 6 months appear. The Actions menu also offers Export Transaction.
