Adding Numbers to a Do Not Contact List
Lofty offers the ability to add both Internal Do Not Contact numbers as well as National and State DNC lists. To access the Do Not Contact list navigate to Settings → Call & Text → Do Not Contact Settings.
Click + Add New to manually add a number to the Internal DNC list. When you manually add a number, it can only be added to the Internal DNC list.
Click Import a List to upload a file with numbers to the Internal DNC list, the National DNC list, or to the State DNC list.
- Note: When uploading a list, the maximum file size is 1GB. Please contact support@lofty.com to upload a larger list.
Only the account admin is able to add or remove numbers from the DNC lists.
When uploading a DNC list, a pop-up will ask what type of DNC list you are importing and how you want these numbers to display in your account. You have the option to override existing consent statuses for the phone numbers that belong to leads in your system.
Selecting 'Yes' on any of these existing consent statuses will change the current phone number consent status to Do Not Call. If a lead is added and their phone number is on a DNC list, their phone consent status will automatically be Do Not Call.
Do Not Contact Lists
Lofty offers four (4) different options for Do Not Contact Lists: Internal, National, State, and Other.
Internal Do Not Contact List
The internal DNC list includes phone numbers who have opted out of being contacted by you or your business specifically. These numbers may or may not be included on a national or state DNC registry.
National, State, or Other DNC Lists
Phone numbers that are on a National, State, or Other DNC list have registered their phone number with a DNC registry. It's important to scrub numbers against these databases, as the owners of these phone numbers have expressed that they do not want to be contacted by businesses that they have not given consent to be contacted by.
Calling or Texting a Number on a DNC List
Phone numbers that are on a DNC list cannot be called or texted. These numbers will have their call & text communication consent set to Do Not Call and can be filtered on the people page using the TCPA Number Consent filter.
While only the account admin can fully remove a phone number from the DNC lists, if you have consent to contact a lead who's phone number is on a DNC list, you can change the phone number consent status to something other than Do Not Call to call or text that lead. This action will not affect any other leads that may have the same phone number on their profile.
