Note: Lofty is rolling out in stages. Depending on the version your account is on, some features or screens described in this article may look different or may not yet be available to you.
Introduction
Lofty's live streaming blocks let you embed an active live stream directly on a page of your website — no need for visitors to leave your site to watch.
- YouTube Live Block — Embeds a YouTube live stream.
- Zoom Live Block — Embeds a Zoom meeting or webinar.
Use these blocks for virtual open houses, live market updates, Q&A sessions, or community events.
Adding a Live Streaming Block
- Open the Website CMS (from Lofty top nav: Content > Websites, then click your site).
- Select the page you want to embed the stream on.
- Click Blocks in the left navigation.
- Find the YouTube Live or Zoom Live block and drag it to the page.
Configuring the Block
Double-click the block or click the Edit icon.
YouTube Live Block : - Paste your YouTube live stream URL or stream ID. - The block displays the live feed when a stream is active. - When no stream is live, the block displays a placeholder.
Zoom Live Block : - Paste your Zoom meeting or webinar embed URL. -
After configuring, click Publish to go live.
Tips
- Set up the block before your event. Add and configure the block in advance so it's ready when you go live — you don't want to be editing the CMS during a live broadcast.
- Test the embed before your event. Start a test stream to verify the block is displaying correctly.
- Combine with a CTA Block. Place a registration CTA above the stream so viewers can sign up or contact you while watching.
