Introduction

The "Search Bar" block can be used to embed a search bar on any page of your website here you want to provide site visitors with a quick and easy way to search for listings.

Here is an example of what this block typically looks like--and it should look familiar as it is found built into other parts of the IDX website by default:

Adding the Search Bar Block

To add the "Search Bar" block, navigate to the page where you would like to add it and then click on the "+ Blocks" button on the left side:

Find the "Search Bar" block type and choose the style that you like (each varies slightly):

Drag the new block to the right side where you would like to place it on the website:

Editing the Search Bar Block

To edit the settings for this block, double-click on the block or click on the "Edit" icon in the top-right of that block:

You can then choose to select the preset filters that will be available on the search bar as seen here:

Important Listings Information

The search bar will always lead the site visitor to the basic listing search page on your site. The searchable listings are determined by the “All Listings” Listing Filter shown here:
