Introduction
The website navigation is the outline of the available pages on the website for any site visitor to select from. It is very important to have this section up-to-date and customized to present the correct pages and in the correct order. All edits to the navigation will be reflected on this section of the websites:
Edit Navigation
To edit the navigation, click “Pages” on the Page Editor and the page list will appear here with all of your pages. The page list consists of two parts: (1) Displayed Navigation and (2) Hidden Navigation.
Displayed Navigation vs. Hidden Navigation
Displayed Navigation
This is also called "Menu" and contains all pages displayed on the website navigation bar. If you want to display a page on a website, drag it to this section.
Hidden Navigation
It contains all pages that are not displayed on the website. Hiding a page on the navigation keeps that page as an actual page on the website, but it will not be displayed on the navigation menu. If someone had the direct link to that page, they could still navigate to the page even though it does not appear on the navigation.
"Page" vs. "Folder" vs. "Page Group"
Page
A page is a specific link that connects directly to a specific page with its own URL, etc. A page can be listed at the top level of the navigation (i.e. clicking on "Home" takes you directly to the home page) or you can list a page within a folder.
Folder
A folder is a category that can be used to organize the website navigation above and beyond simply having one level of pages. In the example below, "Test Folder" is a folder that is listed directly on the main navigation. When a site visitor hovers over the "Test Folder," they are presented with the content within that folder. In this example, "Blogs" and "Test Subfolder" would be on that list. Folders can also be nested again within another folder (only one more level maximum) as seen in this example.
Page Group
A page group is a group of pages. The pages in the page group are all at the same level in the navigation menu and have the same style and different content. These are grouped for easy management. There are currently several types of page groups:
- Neighborhood Detail
- Property Detail
- Sold Property Detail
- Agent Detail
- Blog Detail
Add Pages/Folders
*Please note that all added pages/folders will be in the "Hidden Navigation" section by default.
To add a folder, click on the "+ Add Folder" button, type in the folder name, and click enter on the keyboard. You can then save pages within the folder as described above.
To add a page, click on the "+ Add Page" button, and you will see the 12 types of page templates, each with different styles available to choose from. For more detailed steps on adding pages, please see the following articles:
Reorder Pages/Folders
Reorder the pages on the navigation menu by simply dragging and dropping the page/folder to the location where you would like it to be on the website.
Delete Pages/Folders
Click "Delete" to delete the corresponding page/folder. Just so you know, deleting a folder will also delete all pages/subfolders under that folder.
Remove Pages from Agent Subdomains
Click "Settings" to access that page's settings.
To remove a page from Agent Subdomains, uncheck the box. This will remove the page from all Agent Subdomains.
