Introduction
Global search finds people and notes from anywhere in the CRM. One panel searches by name, phone, email, property, or note content, shows matches as you type, and hands longer result lists off to the People page.
Opening Search
- In the left menu, click Search.
The search panel opens over the current page. Until you type, it reads “Start typing to search people or notes”, with 2 scope pills — People and Notes — under the search box. The bottom bar lists the panel's keyboard controls: ↑ ↓ to navigate, ↵ to open, and esc to close.
Searching for People
- With People selected, type a name, phone number, or email address.
- Matches appear as you type. Each result shows the lead's name with your term highlighted, the lead's pipeline stage on the right (for example, “new leads”), and the lead type, phone number, and email address below the name.
- Click a result to open it, or click View More >> at the bottom of longer result lists.
View More >> closes the panel and opens the People page with your query applied — the list switches to search results and the term appears in the list's own search box.
Searching Notes
- Click the Notes pill under the search box.
- Type your term. Each match shows the contact's name, the contact's lead type on the right (for example, “Type: Buyer”), and the note content with your term highlighted.
Tip: Notes search matches note content — a phrase you remember from an old note is enough to find the contact again.
Closing the Panel
Close the panel in any of 3 ways:
- Press esc.
- Click the esc chip next to the search box (its tooltip reads “Close (Esc)”).
- Click anywhere outside the panel.
