How does the AI Sales Agent Work?
The Sales Agent is a multi-channel ISA. It works by powering the chat box on your Lofty website to engage and capture new website leads. It will also text new leads as they come into your Lofty CRM and text existing leads when they meet the criteria you specify. It will also handle email communication sent to your sending email address. The Sales Agent will attempt to complete the lead's information and hand off the warm lead to the assigned agent.
For more information on the Lofty Sales Agent qualification process, check out: Sales Agent / Chatbot Qualification Process
- The AI Assistant will not follow up with leads in the following scenarios:
- Leads are Hidden Leads (see Lead Privacy: Company Leads vs. Personal Leads) unless the individual agent has purchased their own Sales Agent.
- Leads have the wrong number, DNC number, or landline phone number
- Leads do not have a phone number when brought into Lofty (even if added later)
Configure Your AI Sales Agent
To configure your Sales Agent settings, go to Marketing > Sales Agent > Sales Agent Settings.
Lofty Sales Agent is included for all Lofty users at the individual level. The included version of Sales Agent will actively work on 10 leads per month. This quota can be increased at any time after you configure your Sales Agent.
Sales Agent is also at the Company level for all Lofty accounts*. The Company-Level Sales Agent will power the chat box on all Lofty websites on your account and text all visible leads matching the criteria you set. The Company-Level Sales Agent cannot work on agents' hidden leads.
*Some Legacy packages may not include Sales Agent at the Company level. If you'd like to upgrade to a current offering, please reach out to support@lofty.com
Here's what you'll see when you set up your Sales Agent for the first time:
Here's what you'll see once your initial setup has been completed:
Assistant Profile
In the Assistant Profile, you can adjust the appearance of your Sales Agent and the way that it interacts with leads.
-
Assistant Name
- We recommend giving your Sales Agent a different name from anyone on your team. This will help prevent confusion when it hands off warm leads to the actual agent.
-
Virtual Number
- This is the phone number the Sales Agent will use when it is communicating via text with your leads. Texts sent from the AI's Virtual Number will not count against your text limit.
- Assigning the number to a 10DLC campaign is critical for ensuring text deliverability.
-
Call Forwarding
-
Call Forwarding gives you the option to connect leads who call the Sales Agent to a live person. You can choose to disable, forward to the lead's assigned agent, or forward to a dedicated number.
-
Assistant Working Strategy
The Assistant Working Strategy determines how your Sales Agent will communicate with your leads.
-
Engage Style
- The Engage Style determines how frequently the AI will reach out to your leads.
- You can choose between Proactive, Balanced, and Reserved.
- If you'd like to learn more about how the AI interacts with leads, check out the AI Assistant / Chatbot Qualification Process.
-
Handle Rental Inquiries
- Use this dropdown to enable or disable rental inquiries.
- When enabled, Sales Agent will attempt to complete the renter profile of the lead and recommend rental properties.
- When disabled, the Sales Agent will gently let the lead know that your business does not handle rental inquiries. These leads will not count against your total lead quota.
- Use this dropdown to enable or disable rental inquiries.
-
Real Estate Experience
- Use this box to enter a prompt to customize or coach your Sales Agent. Include information about yourself, your company, how long you've been in business, the tone you'd like your Sales Agent to use, and any other relevant information.

You can enable or disable individual channels, like chat or text, here.
All channels are turned ON by default. Use the radio button on the right side to toggle off or on different channels of communication for Sales Agent:

Sales Agent Overview Page
The Sales Agent overview gives you clear insights into how AI is helping your business. You can also see all leads Sales Agent is actively working on and mute them directly on this page.
- Total Engaged: Number of leads contacted via text, chat, or email
- Total Contacted: Total outreach messages sent
- Total Updated: Number of times the Sales Agent automatically updated a lead’s information.
- Saved Time & Cost: See how much time and money you’ve saved
- Lead Handoffs: Track when Sales Agent flags leads for your attention
- Lead Management: View and mute leads directly from the reporting page
How does Pricing work?
You can choose the number of leads - or quota - that you would like the Sales Agent to be able to work. This simplifies the experience and gives you control over your cost and opportunities.
Your quota does not reset monthly. It is a running total of the leads that the Sales Agent is working on your behalf. You can increase or decrease your quota at any time.
The AI Sales Agent starts with 200 leads at $60 per month. Additional coverage can be added in increments of 100 leads ($30 per month).
Pricing is prorated based on the day of the month, but you will always receive the full lead amount. You will be charged the full amount in the following month.
How is usage calculated?
Any lead the AI Sales Agent has messaged is considered an engaged lead.
If you mute Sales Agent for a lead, either manually or using a Smart Plan, the lead will no longer be counted in the quota.
If the lead does not respond after 6 months of automatic follow-up, the lead will no longer be counted in the quota.
How do Sales Agent Emails work?
Sales Agent has full context of your lead - from their search preferences, to any communication you or the Sales Agent have had with the lead. When a lead reaches out by email, the Sales Agent can reply to continue the conversation on your behalf. Sales Agent can respond to emails in 15 seconds.
You can enable or disable the email channel in Sales Agent Settings. The Sales Agent will read and respond to emails sent to the Sending Email that is configured in your Email settings.
Here is a sample email sent from the Sales Agent:
Managing your Sales Agent Quota
Any lead Sales Agent has messaged is considered an engaged lead. The Sales Agent will follow up with leads for 6 months by default. During this period, the lead will continue to count towards your quota (because the Sales Agent is still working on that lead).
If you mute the Sales Agent for a lead, either manually or using a Smart Plan, the lead will no longer be counted in the quota.
-
If the lead does not respond after 6 months of automatic follow-up, the lead will no longer be counted in the quota.
