Introduction
Lofty agents and lenders can collaborate on leads where access is given to the lender to participate. The lender is only given limited access to the lead--meaning the primary owner of the lead will always be the real estate agent/team. Below is an outline of what tools are available to the lender.

Sharing Leads With a Connected Lender
There are two ways that a lender can be given access to a lead:
(1) Lender Lead Routing
Navigate to Settings > Lead Routing > For Lender. Lead routing rules can be created for any lender partners in this section. For more information on how to set up lead routing rules, please see Lead Routing Rules.
When a lead is assigned to a lender via lead routing rules, they will automatically receive access in their lender-type account and will receive an email notification informing them of access being given.
Please also review the following article for related information: Lender Lead Routing Rules.
(2) Direct Lead Assignment
An individual lead can be assigned directly to a lender on the lead's profile page. Navigate to a lead profile page > Assigned To > Lender > All available lender-type accounts associated with your team will appear as options to assign
*IMPORTANT: Please note that the lender has to be connected to your account in order for them to appear as an option for assignment via lead routing rules or direct assignment.
The lead notification email received by the lender looks like this:
Lender View
The lender will see a lead profile that looks just like what is seen on the real estate agent side:
However, there are differences between what can be done with a lender-type account and what can be done with a real estate agent-type account.
The lender-type account is also not able to see the complete history of communication with the lead or lead activity on a connected IDX website. In other words, the communication activity (calls, emails, and texts) with the lead is not visible to the lender-type account. The activities timeline visible to the lender will only contain very basic system-recorded notes.
Collaborating / Sharing Notes
By default, when a real estate agent leaves a note on a lead profile, that note is shared with the lender. The same is the case when a lender leaves a note in the lead profile--the note is shared with the real estate agent. If you want to notify each other when adding notes, you can use the @tag option in the notes. If there is no @tag in the note, it will not trigger any email notification or in-app push to the other party.
For example, if the real estate agent wants to share a note with the lender, the agent can search for the lead profile where the lender is listed in the Assigned To section (bottom-left) and then add a note while also @tagging them:
This note will be visible to the lender on the lead profile:
The lender will also see a system notification:
An email notification will also be sent informing them of the note being sent to them via Lofty:
Tasks
Currently, tasks cannot be assigned between a lender and an agent-type account. This includes both manually-created tasks and auto-tasks via Smart Plans.
Engagement
- Property alerts are not synced from the real estate agent side to the lender side.
- Search Criteria are synced
- Properties are also synced
Smart Plans
Smart Plans are not synced from the real estate agent side to the lender side. A lender can only apply Smart Plans that they have built in their lender-type account and will not have access to add Smart Plans that are contained on the real estate agent side.
Transactions
Transactions are not shared from the real estate agent side to the lender side. If a transaction is added by a real estate agent to a lead record, it will not sync to the lender view.
Documents
Either party can upload documents and indicate whether they would like to share them with the other party.
