Lofty AOS is our new AI-first experience, and a beta version is now available on iPhone for selected users. This article covers how to install it through Apple's TestFlight app, how to switch back to Lofty Classic, and how to share feedback.

Beta Participants

The Lofty AOS mobile beta is invite-only right now. If you've been invited, you'll see a popup when you open Lofty on your iPhone, and you'll get an email from us with the steps.

Don't see an invite? The beta is rolling out in stages. 

Note: The beta is currently available on iPhone only. Android version is still pending. 

Before You Start

• You'll need your iPhone and your Lofty login.
• Installing takes about two minutes.
• Lofty AOS replaces your current Lofty app. You'll still have one Lofty icon on your phone.
• Your data stays safe. Your contacts, conversations, and settings are saved to your account, not your phone, so everything is there when you log in.

Install TestFlight

Lofty AOS beta is delivered through TestFlight, Apple's official app for trying early versions of apps.

Step 1: Start from the Lofty app

Open Lofty on your iPhone. When you see "The new Lofty is here," tap Switch to new version.

Tapped "Not now"? No problem. You can find it again anytime:

1. Tap More (look for the red dot).
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap the Switch to the new Lofty bar.

Step 2: Install TestFlight

On the install page, tap GET next to TestFlight. This opens TestFlight in the App Store. Install it, then come back to Lofty.

Already have TestFlight? This step is marked Completed, so skip to Step 3.

Step 3: Install Lofty AOS

Tap GET next to Lofty Beta. TestFlight opens to the Lofty Beta page. Tap Install.

Step 4: Open Lofty AOS

When the install finishes, tap Open. Log in if prompted, and you're in.

Switch back to Lofty Classic

You can go back to Lofty Classic anytime:

1. Delete the Lofty app from your iPhone. (Press and hold the icon, then tap Remove App and Delete App.)
2. Reinstall Lofty from the App Store.
3. Log in. Your data is all there.

Share your feedback

Your feedback shapes what we build next, so we make it easy to share.

In-app survey. After you've used Lofty AOS for a few days, a short survey will appear in the app. It takes about a minute. It asks what's working and what feels off. Each survey appears once, and you can dismiss it if now isn't a good time.

Anytime feedback. Don't want to wait for the survey? You can provide feedback directly in the TestFlight App

FAQ

Will I have two Lofty apps on my phone?
No. Lofty AOS replaces your current app, so there's only ever one Lofty icon.

Will I lose any data?
No. Your data is stored in your Lofty account, and everything comes back when you log in, even if you switch back to Lofty Classic.

Does this change Lofty on my computer?
No, the mobile beta only applies to the app on your phone. 

How do I get updates?
TestFlight notifies you when a new version of Lofty AOS is available. Open TestFlight and tap Update. Each beta version is available for 90 days, and we'll release new versions before then.

I don't see the popup or the Settings bar. What should I do?
Make sure you have the latest version of Lofty from the App Store. If you still don't see it, the beta may not have reached your account yet.

How do I switch back to Lofty Classic?

Delete the beta app, then reinstall Lofty from the App Store — all data lives on the server and comes back when you log in.
