Note: Lofty is rolling out in stages. Depending on the version your account is on, some features or screens described in this article may look different or may not yet be available to you.
Introduction
Your website footer appears at the bottom of every page and contains important information — your logo, agent contact details, navigation links, MLS disclaimers, and any custom content you want to include. Lofty offers 4 footer styles, and all settings are configured from the Home Page.
⚠️ The footer can only be edited from the Home Page. Changes apply site-wide, but the editor is only accessible when viewing the Home Page in the CMS.
Before You Begin
- Your agent or team contact information is pulled from Settings > Team Info > Creator/Agent in the CMS. Populate that profile before configuring the footer to make sure the right info displays.
- If you plan to hide the footer on any page, read the MLS Compliance Warning in this article first.
How to Open the Footer Editor
- Open the Website CMS (from Lofty top nav: Content > Websites, then click your site).
- Navigate to the Home Page in the Pages panel.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page in the editor to find the footer block.
-
Double-click the footer, or click the Edit icon in the top-right corner of the footer block.
Choosing a Footer Style
In the footer settings panel, scroll to the bottom and click Change Style to choose from 4 available styles.
The styles vary in how content is laid out — some use a single background color, others use two-tone background sections. Choose the style that best fits your overall site design.
Style Settings
Footer Background
Set the background color(s) for the footer. Some styles allow you to configure a primary and secondary background color.
Sitemap Menu Style
Configure the appearance of the site navigation links in the footer: - Font weight — Bold, regular, etc. - Font size — Size of footer nav text - Font color — Default text color - Hover color — Color when a visitor hovers over a link
Dropdown Menu Styling
If your site navigation includes dropdown (folder) menus, you can adjust their colors here to match your footer design.
Logos
Upload up to 5 logos in the footer. This is useful for displaying your brokerage logo, MLS board logo, realtor® logo, certifications, or partner logos alongside your primary brand.
For each logo, you can set: - Logo image — Upload the image file - Alt text — Descriptive text for accessibility - URL — Where clicking the logo takes the visitor (optional)
To reorder logos, drag and drop the logos using the handle on the right side of each logo row.
Agent Information
Configure which agent's contact details appear in the footer (name, phone, email, office address). This information is pulled from the profile set in CMS Settings > Team Info > Creator/Agent.
You can customize the text style for each contact element: - Agent Name Style — Font weight, size, color - Agent Phone Style — Font weight, size, color - Agent Email Style — Font weight, size, color - Company Name Style — Font weight, size, color - Company Address Style — Font weight, size, color
Enterprise / Multi-Level Name Display
If you manage a multi-office or multi-team account, you can configure the footer to display the company name, a specific group name (region, office, team), or customized content. The dropdown shows the company name and all upper-level group names in your hierarchy.
Custom Content
Add extra contact information or custom text to the footer — additional phone numbers, secondary office addresses, license IDs, or any other information your clients need.
Note: Custom content added here syncs automatically to all Agent Subdomains built from this site.
Disclaimers
Add up to 5 disclaimer statements to the footer. These are commonly used for MLS-required disclosure language, license numbers, fair housing statements, or brokerage compliance text.
You can include plain text or links to external disclaimer pages.
Where disclaimers display depends on the footer style: - Styles 1, 2, and 3: Disclaimers appear beneath the agent information - Style 4: Disclaimers appear beneath the sitemap links
Hiding the Footer on a Page
You can hide the footer on specific pages without removing it from the rest of the site.
⚠️ MLS Compliance Warning: Hiding the footer may violate your MLS requirements. MLS disclaimer language in the footer is often required on pages that display listings. Confirm with your MLS before hiding the footer on any listing-related page.
To hide the footer on a specific page:
- In the page editor, click Pages in the top-left.
- Click the ⚙️ (settings) icon next to the page where you want to hide the footer.
- Find the Page Style setting.
- Toggle the footer display off. You can also choose to show only the header, only the footer, or neither.
- Save the settings.
After making any footer changes, click Publish in the top-right corner to go live.
Tips
- Keep MLS disclaimer language current. If your MLS updates its required disclaimer text, update it in the footer promptly. Outdated or missing disclaimers can put your MLS membership at risk.
- Upload your realtor® and brokerage logos in the footer. Many MLS boards require these logos to be displayed. The 5-logo limit gives you plenty of room for required branding.
- Use custom content for multi-office teams. If you manage multiple locations, add each office's phone and address in the custom content section rather than trying to fit everything into the agent info fields.
- Test on mobile. Footer content often wraps differently on small screens — check your footer on a phone before publishing.
Troubleshooting
I can't find the footer editor. The footer can only be edited from the Home Page. Navigate to the Home Page in the Pages panel, scroll to the bottom of the page, and select the footer block.
The wrong agent information is showing in my footer. The footer pulls info from Settings > Team Info > Creator/Agent. Update the agent profile there, then check that the footer is configured to display that agent.
I need to remove the copyright text at the bottom of my site. The standard Lofty copyright line can be removed upon request. Contact Lofty Support at support@lofty.com or 1 (855) 981-7557 to request removal.
My custom content isn't syncing to Agent Subdomains. Custom content syncs automatically — make sure you clicked Publish after saving your footer changes. If it still doesn't sync, contact Lofty Support.
