Connecting a Custom Domain

Your Lofty Front site can run on a Lofty subdomain (fastest — available immediately) or on your own custom domain (recommended for brand and SEO).

Option 1 — Lofty subdomain

Every site gets a Lofty-provided subdomain by default, so your site can go live even before your custom domain is ready. You can connect a custom domain later at any time.

Option 2 — Connect your own domain

If you already own a domain

1. In your account, go to Website → Domain and enter your domain.
2. Log in to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.).
3. Add the DNS records shown on your Domain page — typically an A record pointing your domain to Lofty, and a CNAME for www.
4. Save, then return to your Domain page to verify. DNS changes usually take effect within a few hours (up to 48 in rare cases).

SSL is automatic

Once your domain is connected, Lofty automatically issues and renews your SSL certificate — your site is always served over https with no action needed.

Troubleshooting

• “Verification pending” for more than 48 hours — double-check the record values at your registrar; a stray old A record is the most common cause.
• Domain works without www but not with it (or vice versa) — make sure both the A record and the www CNAME are in place.
• Still stuck? Contact support with your domain name and registrar — we’ll check DNS from our side.
