Introduction
If you are running your own Facebook Ad campaigns, there are three ways to get your leads into Lofty from Facebook. This article explains how to use Zapier to get your leads into Lofty. Two additional methods are found here: Facebook Landing Page Ads and Facebook Lead Form Ads + Lofty Integration.
*Important: Facebook is listed in Zapier as a "Premium" app. This means that a paid-for version of Zapier is required. More information on this can be found on Zapier's pricing pages (https://zapier.com/app/billing/plans).
Lofty Zapier Integration
Please reference the following article for more information: Zapier Integration.
Lofty's integration with Zapier can be found at this link: Lofty Integration.
Build a new Zap from Facebook to Lofty
Follow the steps below to bring over your NEW leads (it will not bring over any that already exist) from Facebook to your Lofty CRM.
If needed, these additional instructions from Zapier might be helpful: How to Get Started with Facebook Lead Ads on Zapier.
1. Click on "Make a Zap!" or "Make a New Zap" to start the new zap creation process.
2. To set up the trigger as Facebook, search for it in the search bar and then select "Facebook Leads Ads" from the available options.
*Important: Facebook is listed in Zapier as a "Premium" app. This means that a paid-for version of Zapier is required. More information on this can be found on Zapier's pricing pages (https://zapier.com/app/billing/plans).
3. The trigger app will now populate as "Facebook Lead Ads" and the trigger event will be "New Lead." Click on the option to "Continue."
4. Sign in to Facebook Lead Ads.
5. Sign into Facebook. It is normal to sign into your personal account which is likely connected to your business page.
6. Your Facebook Leads account will now show up. Click on "Continue."
7. Select the page you are using to run the ad. This example shows "Lofty" but you will select your Facebook business page from the list.
8. Select the form that will be used. If no option is selected, the default is for submissions from "Any Form" on your Facebook business page. The Facebook Ad form must be live in order for Zapier to be able to find it and bring in the right fields.
9. Click on "Continue."
10. Choose either of the options "TEST & REVIEW" or "TEST & CONTINUE." If there are any issues, Zapier should highlight what might be going wrong. If you have no leads, it might not be able to produce a test. You can always select the top-right option to "SKIP TEST."
11. We will now connect to Lofty. Search for Lofty and select from the list.
12. Choose the option to "Create Lead" from the two options available.
13. Click on "Continue."
14. If this is the first time you are setting up a zap with Lofty you will need to sign into Lofty and connect via the API key. Click on the option to "Sign in to Lofty."
15. A new window will appear asking for the Lofty API Key. Click on the hyperlinked "Lofty" text to be redirected to Lofty.
16. While on the Lofty Settings > Integrations, scroll to the very bottom of the page and click on the "Copy" button next to the API key.
17. Go back to the "Connect an Account | Zapier" window and paste the API key. Click "Yes, Continue."
18. Now a Lofty account should be listed in the field. Click on "Continue."
19. You will now see a new line for all of the fields available in Lofty. You will select the drop-down icon next to each of them to pull in data directly from the form. You will want to match as many as possible. If there is no dedicated field for it in Lofty, you can add multiple sets of data from Facebook into the "Note" field on Lofty so that it can be easily referenced later on Lofty.
Keep in mind that if you want to, you can manually type text into the fields. This could be useful if you wanted to put "Facebook Campaign XYZ" into the "Source" field, for example, or add notes so that you knew which ad campaign it was that you were bringing in.
For your information here is a list of all of the available fields (as also seen in the screenshot). In theory, you could create a question on your ad form for every one of these though that will certainly reduce lead conversion.

20. Here is what it looks like to select a field for the first name. Also, regarding the name, you will likely need to pull in the full name into the "First Name" field. If you want to explore alternatives for that option, see this section on Zapier: Facebook Lead Ads gives me a full name but I need first and last.
21. Once you have matched up the fields as best as possible, click on "Continue."
22. You will then be presented with an option to "TEST & REVIEW" or "TEST & CONTINUE." Choose either option or even SKIP TEST in the top right. This would be a good one to test to make sure it creates a lead in Lofty. When testing, it will create a new lead in Lofty that you can watch for.
23. You should see a message confirming that the zap has been created and asking whether you want to turn it on or not. If you are ready to get leads into Lofty from your Facebook form, be sure to turn it on.
