Introduction
Lofty manages four types of MLS application processes: Agreement, Instruction, Online, and Vendor. These processes are designed to streamline your MLS applications and provide you with updates on their progress, as each MLS processes their application differently. Depending on the MLS you are applying to, you will go through one of the four processes outlined here.
Summary
Agreement
The Agreement process begins when you submit an MLS application in the CMS. An agreement link or document is automatically sent to you for signature. Both the agent and the broker must sign the document. Once signed, Lofty MLS team will contact MLS to process the application.
Lofty sends email notifications and text alerts for agreement applications, ensuring that you receive timely reminders. Relevant links or documents are made available in the CMS and you can directly click through to complete the steps and track progress.
After the agreement is signed, the MLS will review the signed document and submit it for approval. Once approved by MLS, the data will be integrated, and the process will be completed.
Instruction
In the Instruction process, after you submit an application in the CMS, an email is sent with instructions on how you can either contact the MLS directly or submit your application via the official MLS platform.
Similar to the Agreement process, Lofty also sends email and text alerts, helping you stay on track. Links and instructions are provided in the CMS, allowing you to easily follow the steps and view the progress. Once you have completed the necessary steps to initiate the application, click the "I’ve Completed" button to notify the Lofty MLS team that you’ve finished your part of the process.
Approval time may vary from a few business days to longer, depending on the MLS board’s processing time. Click the “Request Update” button to notify the Lofty MLS team and get a status update. Once Lofty is informed of the MLS approval, the data will be integrated with your Lofty platform and IDX site.
Online
For the Online process, Lofty provides a form for you to fill out with key details. After the form is completed, the Lofty MLS team reviews the details and submits the application on your behalf via the MLS vendor platform (Trestle, MLS Grid and FlexMLS etc). If additional information or steps are required to complete the application, we will reach out to you via email or phone call. You always reach out to Lofty support to inquire about your application status.
The MLS data will be integrated to your Lofty platform and IDX site once the MLS reviews and approves the application information.
Vendor
The Vendor process allows Lofty to verify your MLS membership internally. Once the verification is complete, the MLS will be integrated with your Lofty platform and IDX site. This verification process is automated, making the overall process faster and more efficient. If the auto-verification fails, Lofty will manually check the membership and, if necessary, contact you for further information.
