Introduction
Lofty is excited to announce its long-awaited integration with DocuSign. We hope this integration allows you to conduct business more quickly and efficiently.
Summary
Integrate with DocuSign
To get started, you must integrate your existing DocuSign account with your Lofty account.
Important things to note:
- Each Lofty user will need to connect their own DocuSign account.
- Each DocuSign account can only be connected to one (1) Lofty account.
- This means that if a team utilizes the same DocuSign login credentials, only one member of the team can integrate DocuSign.
- If another team member integrates the same DocuSign account, using the same login credentials, the original DocuSign integration will be disconnected.
- If your DocuSign integration becomes disconnected, you will lose the progress display in Lofty, but your Documents will still exist in DocuSign.
- For a DocuSign process created for a specific lead, only the user who created it can view it, and other users who have access to the lead cannot view the DocuSign process.
- DocuSign supports the following document types:
- DOCUMENT: .doc, .docm,.docx, .dot, .dotm, .dotx, .htm, .html, .msg, .pdf, .rtf, txt, .wpd, .xhtml, .xps.
- IMAGE: bmp, .gif, .heic, jpg, jpeg, png, tif, tiff
- PRESENTATION: pot,potx,.pps,.ppt,.pptm,.pptx
- SPREADSHEET: .csv, .xls, .xlsm, .xlsx
There are two (2) ways to connect your DocuSign account:
Entrance 1: Settings → Integrations
Entrance 2: Marketplace → Transactions
This integration also adds notifications and Lead Timeline records.

Ways to Start a DocuSign
There are multiple places where you can start a DocuSign send.
Transaction Detail Page→「...」icon
Transaction Detail Page→ Document Tab
You can either start a DocuSign with the current document you have open, or upload a new document for signing.
Lead Detail Page→ [...] icon
Lead Detail Page→ Transactions & Docs Tab
You can start a DocuSign with an existing document or upload a new one directly to DocuSign.
Send Document(s)
Step 1: Add Document(s) to the envelope
You can add multiple documents to the envelope. They will form a pdf, which you can edit in DocuSign and add signature information.
Step 2: Select your Recipients
If you are starting in a Transaction, the transaction owner, transaction contacts, lead, and lead's family members will automatically be listed as suggestions. You can also use the search bar to add any lead, team member, or vendor.
If the person is not listed or does not exist in Lofty, you can add them to the DocuSign.
Step 3: Add Message
The final step that takes place in Lofty is adding a message to your DocuSign. Once you have completed these setup steps, you will be taken into DocuSign to set up the signature fields on the document.
Step 4: Edit in DocuSign
After you have added your recipients and clicked Confirm, the process will automatically continue in Docusign where you can add in your signature fields and send. If you need to edit the document in the future, it will have to be done in DocuSign.
View or Manage your Progress in Lofty
After you send a DocuSign document, you can view the status of the document in the Transaction or lead (wherever you started).
- If you started the DocuSign in a Transaction, it will not be visible on the lead's profile. If you started the DocuSign on the lead's profile, it will not be visible on the Transaction. They are independent.
